ABOUT ‘ALLIES’

‘Allies’ began life as a crowdfunding project with My Major Company in 2011. In just six weeks Some Velvet Morning raised £100,000 to make the album, which was first issued in May 2012.

In 2014, SVM’s drummer Rob Flanagan began working with St Mungo’s, teaching drums to people re-building their lives with new skills after periods of homelessness.

Some Velvet Morning feel very privileged to be able to pursue their passion on a professional level and would like to give something back to those aspiring to build a better life for themselves in the community. As a consequence, we are re-issuing ‘Allies’ this autumn in aid of St Mungo’s.

From November 2015, 50% of all profits from the sale of ‘Allies’ are being donated to St Mungo’s to buy new musical equipment.  We would like to thank My Major Company, James Wilkinson and our investors who helped raise the initial revenue to make the album. 'Allies' is re-released on Mon 30th November 2015.  Pre-order your copy now below:
