Some Velvet Morning are on their way to Russia today for the first of two dates in Moscow. This will be followed by shows in Thailand later in the month, where the band will also shoot a promo video for 'Resistance,' mooted for release as a single in the autumn. 22/03/2011 - NEWS OF THE WORLD - SVM PRESS LAUNCH - 6TH APRIL 2011
Some Velvet Morning are back on Wed 6th April with an early press showcase at Mayfair's Cuckoo Club in London. Doors open at 6.30pm and the band will be on stage at 7pm sharp. Dress code is smart.??
This is a great opportunity to see the band for free at an imtimate venue, following the completion of their new album for My Major Company, scheduled for release in July.
??To celebrate the completion of the record, there will also be free drinks. Space is limited on the evening, so please see the instructions below to attend the showcase.??

Eagle eyed Norwegian fans will have seen the band on last week's edition of Lyderverket - Norway's premier music program. The programme's feature on crowd funding sees Some Velvet Morning sharing good company with their MMC label head, Paul-Rene Albertini, Metallica, Radiohead and Neil Young. Watch the clip here.

Some Velvet Morning performed to a capacity audience at 229: The Venue for the My Major Company Launch party last night.

Some Velvet Morning join seminal britpoppers Reef on the London stage this 2nd December at the HMV Forum.
Reef, whose hits include 'Come Back Brighter' and 'Place Your Hands' (aka TFI Friday's It's Your Letters) have reformed to the delight of their loyal fans, who showed their support in droves at the band's summer Glastonbury festival appearance.
